Instructions
Remove the pork shoulder from the wrapper. Rub it generously all over with the dry bbq rub. Cover and refrigerate overnight for the best results. Can go as little as an hour if needed.
Add 1 cup of water and 1/2 bbq sauce to the crock pot and then place in the pork shoulder. Set the crock on the lowest slow setting. I went 10 hours overnight.
Remove the pork shoulder and allow to cool enough to handle and either shred with your hands or use a pair of bear claws.
Strain the liquid in the crock pot through a fine mesh strainer and reserve to remoisten the pork when re-heating.
Serve immediately or place into the refrigerator until needed. Re-heat in a 300 degree over for 30 to 45 minutes with a little of the reserved liquid.
Make the Cole Slaw according to the package directions. I always add about a tablespoon of pepper to mine.
Place some heated pork onto a slider bun add some additional bbq sauce, top with the Cole Slaw and a few pickles if you like.
