Super Easy Crock Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches

Super Easy Crock Pot Pulled Pork Sandwiches

I may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

This Super Easy to make crock pot pulled pork sliders will have you enjoying the game instead of slaving in the kitchen.

My favorite way to make pulled pork is on my smoker, low and slow. After traveling the first of the week for my day job and then a day of jury duty, I don’t have the time.

Not to mention that the polar vortex even affected the weather down here in the south. I won’t complain too much, it was -8 when I left Pittsburgh on Wednesday. So the 32 degrees here seems warm.

I opted to go for easy and full of flavor. Although this recipe won’t pick up that smoke that I love from the grill, it will be tender and full of flavor.

How Easy? 5 Ingredients Game Day Eats Easy

Once I got in from my business trip I grabbed a Pork Shoulder from the freezer and left it overnight in the Fridge. It will thaw in about 24 hours.
The next evening I removed the plastic and gave it a good rub down with Meat Church Honey Hog BBQ Rub. You can use your favorite or what ever you have in the pantry.

Being short on time this week I opted to go with the easiest recipe I could. I used one of my favorite store bought BBQ rubs. I could have thrown one together out of the pantry, but time is more important here.

The Honey Hog Gives it a sweet and spicy finish that will go great on the pulled pork sandwiches. Once you have the whole shoulder covered. Place on a sheet tray, wrap with plastic wrap and place into the fridge overnight.
The next morning grab the crockpot, add 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of your favorite BBQ Sauce. Again time saver, I went with our favorite store bought sauce.

Place the pork shoulder into the crock pot and set it to the longest low time. For mine that is 10 hours on low. Put the lid on and continue your day.
Remove the pork shoulder from the crock pot. I used disposable aluminum pans for easy clean up after the big game. Let it cool until you can handle it and it will be tender enough to pull apart with your fingers.

I use a pair of bear claws to shred it faster. Take the juices left in the crockpot and strain it with a fine mesh strainer. Place into a container and into the fridge.

Before game time place the pork into a 300 degree oven with a little of the juice covered with foil to reheat. About 30 to 45 minutes.

Super Quick Cole Slaw

I like my pork sliders with Cole Slaw. Grab a bag of the pre-made slaw in a bag from the produce section or even easier pick up the container already made in the deli section.

I have my Mom’s recipe for Cole Slaw that she made for the Little League park for almost 20 years, but that will have to wait for another post.

It’s Game Time

Add about two tablespoons of shredded pork to a slider bun, add some additional BBQ Sauce, then some Cole Slaw and a pickle if you choose.

Time to watch some football and enjoy. I hope that you like this quick and easy recipe.
